Reconnecting with the roots of midwifery

Whether you work in hospitals or private practice, you’ve likely felt the quiet ache for something more. The skills to support a woman when birth challenges arise, or to offer her something beyond pharmacological pain relief.

What women need is connection.

If you have:

• A desire to bring your hands back into your work

• A longing to feel deeply resourced, not only in what you know, but in how you hold

• A call to support women in a way that feels connected, sacred, intuitive, and confident

This circle is for midwives, doulas, birth keepers and birthing women ready to return to heart-centred, holistic practices.

What we will explore together…

During this one-day immersion, you’ll learn practical, hands-on skills grounded in traditional midwifery and womb-centred care:

The Art of the Rebozo - To support release, connection, and physical relief in pregnancy and labour.

Foundational Belly Binding Techniques - To nurture postpartum healing, offer womb support, and bring comfort during pregnancy.

Gentle Techniques for Optimal Fetal Positioning - To help reduce interventions and promote gentler, more easeful births.

These embodied tools can profoundly transform your practice. They offer deeper connection, greater confidence, and grounded skill. Whether you’ve worked in birth for decades or are just beginning, this circle will meet you where you are and support your growth.

How you will feel

You’ll leave this circle not only with new techniques, but with:

~A stronger sense of confidence in your hands on support

~A deeper connection to your purpose and why you chose this path

~Practical skills to support birth physiology in any setting

~A feeling of being replenished, supported, and seen

This is the kind of learning that stays with you, not just in your mind, but in your hands.

held by sacred land - welcome to sorelle

Our circle will be held at Sorelle, the Land of the Seven Sisters; a matriarchal sanctuary nestled on the lush Atherton Tablelands.

Created and stewarded by Tanya, Earth midwife, matriarch, and woman of deep devotion, this sacred space is a living altar to the care of women and the Earth. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the land holding you.

Anchored in ancestral reverence, placenta earthings, guardian trees, and sacred Ancestor fire circles, this land remembers and it will help you remember too.

After our circle, you’re invited to stay and share in a 30-minute private sauna beneath the Seven Sisters Grove.

This traditional Scandinavian-style barrel sauna rests along a river stone path beneath towering fig trees, with sweeping views of farmland and sacred mountains. Cool off under an open-air copper shower flowing from an avocado tree. Let fire, water, and earth restore and revive you.

Limited to 4 people per session. First booked, first served. 8 spaces available.
$35 per person.

For the journey ahead: Gentle answers before you arrive

Can I use these skills in a hospital setting?
Absolutely. I find this is when I need to call on these tools even more. These practices are adaptable, even more women with a epidural. They support physiological birth, reduce interventions, and foster deeper connection with the women you care for.

What if I’m new to these practices?
Perfect. This circle is for all levels of experience. You’ll be guided step-by-step in a supportive, non-judgemental space.

Is it appropriate for me to be learning and offering these practices if I am not connected to these traditional cultures?
This work is rooted in recognition, respect, and reciprocity for the cultures and women who have passed this wisdom on. These teachings reflect a collective remembering of women’s wisdom across many cultures and generations.
In the spirit of reciprocity, 10% of all sales from this circle will be donated to The Midwife Project, a grassroots initiative in Guatemala supporting the continuation of traditional Maya midwifery.
All
rebozos and belly binds available for purchase are sourced directly from local artisans in Mexico and Guatemala, honouring their cultural lineage and ensuring fair wages.

What if I can’t afford the full payment right now?
No problem. You can pay in instalments using Afterpay at checkout, allowing you to spread the cost over time.

Is this a large event? Will I get personal guidance?
The circle is intentionally kept intimate so everyone has space to ask questions, practise the skills, and receive personal attention. Booking early also ensures you receive your bonuses and a spot for the sauna.

What if I work on call and can’t commit in advance?
Oh don’t I know this feeling! If this applies to you, please reach out to me directly and we’ll find a way forward.
Connect HERE.

What if I don’t have my own rebozo or belly bind?
No problems! You’ll be able to use a selection of beautiful, artisan-woven tools on the day. If you feel called to bring one home, you’ll receive 10% off all purchases made at the circle. Cash preferred.
