The Art of Holding was born from that need.
A remembering of the power of touch, ritual, and bodywork as a path to restore, reconnect, and reweave what birth unravels.
This is more than techniques. It’s an opportunity to meet women in the tender threshold of their reproductive continuums, to offer something that speaks not just to the body, but to the spirit.
I’ve spent over a decade walking alongside women through birth, postpartum, menstruation, and healing. I’ve studied traditional healing practices throughout Latin America and India—learning how belly binding is used not just after birth, but as a vital part of supporting a woman’s body through all thresholds of life.
What I found was missing in the modern world was not just technique—but understanding.
Women are suffering in silence with prolapse, reproductive health issues, and disconnection.
They’re told these things are normal.
They’re offered surgery, or nothing at all.
Our systems do not acknowledge the depth of what women hold, or what it takes to truly heal.
And many of us, as midwives, doulas and space holders, feel the pain of wanting to do more—but not knowing where to begin, or how to do it confidence and with cultural integrity.
This comprehensive learning is a response to that need.
You’ll learn:
✨ How to apply foundational and advanced belly binds with clarity and confidence
✨ The distinct styles used across cultures—faja, rebozo, chumpi, and more
✨ How to bind throughout a woman's entire journey, for postpartum, menstruation, pregnancy support, and ceremony
✨ How to offer this work with reverence, clear intention, and cultural awareness
✨ How to integrate belly binding into your offerings in a way that’s meaningful, respectful, and truly supportive
These are the tools I use in my own midwifery and bodywork practice—tools that I’ve seen help women feel held, stabilised, and whole again.
The Art of Holding is not just about technique.
It’s a remembering. A returning to care that is slow, intentional, and sacred.

It’s a lineage of holding — and it lives in your hands.
For the past seven years, I’ve immersed myself in these practices. It began in India, learning from my Chechi in a birth centre, massaging and binding women after birth. Even with language barriers, the exchange was clear. A soul-level remembering.
Every year, I return to Guatemala to learn from my traditional Maya midwife teachers. My connection with our weaver, Doña Dominga, and her family allows me to share handwoven fajas with our community — tools that are used with intention, ceremony, and care.
Through these relationships — through listening, observing, and receiving — I’ve built a way of holding that is both rooted in tradition and responsive to the needs of modern birth work.
The women I serve share again and again how this work has transformed their healing:
💛 Less pain
💛 Stronger sense of support and grounding
💛 A deeper connection to their body and womb
💛 Relief during pregnancy and postpartum
💛 Help with menstrual discomfort, prolapse, and energetic depletion
And birth workers say the same — that learning these practices brings new life to their offerings, and often to their own bodies and boundaries.
Because the truth is, we’re not just binding bellies.
We’re tending to energy.
We’re offering restoration.
We’re learning how to hold — without carrying everything ourselves.
